Meditate & Memorize 2024

This is a set of scriptures for Redeeming Grace Church to meditate on and seek to commit to memory in 2024.

We are asking everyone in the church to consider memorizing 2 scriptures from this list each month, so that by the end of the year, we all will have 26 scriptures memorized. We will be reciting a verse each week on Sunday morning and in our Care Groups. If you'd like, you can try to memorize them all. Whether or not you're able to memorize them, please read and meditate on a verse each week - just getting God's Word into our hearts and minds will have a transformative effect.

In addition to the verses listed below, we have compiled a few resources that you may find helpful as you jump in to your Scripture memorization journey:

For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.

It was to show his righteousness at the present time, so that he might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.

  • Jul 14

1 Corinthians 15:20-23: But in fact Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. John 3:5-8: Jesus answered, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, 'You must be born again.' The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit."

The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs--heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him.

  • Sept 22

Romans 6:11-14: So you also must consider yourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus. Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, to make you obey its passions. For sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace.
